Q:What is the difference between LBS, WIFI and GPS moving?How to determine under which mode? what is the distance error of this three mode?
A:GPS:the location base on GPS chip ,the accuracy about 5-30m, but it was only work outdoor ,open sky , and good weather
LBS: it base on cell phone network to calculate its location.  The accuracy about 200-2km, Some one test in USA,the test results showed the location about 200-800 metres .Your results may vary depending on the positioning of the cell phone relay towers and the service provider chosen.
Wifi(RF-30 only): the location base on Wifi hotspot , the accuracy about 10m- 1km, we use Google wifi data base ,as you know the wifi is very easy to set up , some times the Google have no the location in some wifi hotspot .if Google data base have the wifi location , so the wifi location may by with good accuracy ,but also with bad accuracy .
What is the user say:We checked that with GPS positioning is ok which around 10 m different. But it need in the open sky and the tracker usually became the mode to LBS while under the canopy or cover on top. The positioning will sudden change far away target when change in LBS or Wifi mode.
Q: Which SIM card work for GPS tracker in USA.
A:The GSP tracker uses GPRS to send and receive data. Please buy T-Mobile SIM card ,it is supports 2G automatically, T-Mobile also confirmed to me that their SIM card can be used in GPS tracking devices.
You need to buy your SIM card, activate it, and manage the funds etc. Please used an iPhone 4 when doing this because it supports the same size micro SIM card as the RF-V16. When activating the SIM card, T-Mobile will ask you for the IMEI of the device it’ll be used in. The tracker has its own IMEI, shown on a sticker on the back of the device. Some one didn’t supply this to T-Mobile and it didn’t seem to make a difference, so it will leave it up to you to decide on whether to do that.
